Something bugs me. It is really a teeny, tiny thing. But for some reason it irritates me. Now you may say, "Justin relax, it is no big deal."
I would say this is my blog and I can cry if I want to sucka! All in fun of course!
Why is it that people always have to stretch their hometowns to something a little more glamorous? I know a few people who have changed their location from Riverside to Orange County or Riverside to Los Angeles. Really?
Now I am not a Riverside pride, Mission Bell Cross tattoo-909 forever kind of guy, but Riverside is not that horrible of a place to reside. Sure San Diego or Santa Barbara are better choices, but claiming places 35-55 miles away does not make you an OC'er nor does it make you an Angelino. Go move 50 miles away and live there a while to do that.
So either own up. Or do not claim it. Or move.
Your silly pants.

i was born in LA and I don't even claim to be from there. i know what you're saying...it's a little ridiculous.
however, i will say this, when i was auditioning for biggest loser and did the on-camera interview, they did have us say we were from LA because they thought no one would know where Riverside was, but i thought that was totally lame.

Interesting. In my experience it can go both ways. Some people will say they are from the "OC", for example, because of the "bling" associated with it. But they are really from Stanton, where there really isn't much "bling". Others will say they are from the "OC", and not name the specific town, like Laguna Niguel, because of the gasps, the "why did you move to Riverside?"'s, and the automatic judgment that you are a snob or were raised with a silver spoon in your mouth.
I live in Riverside now, and where I am from is just a part of my story. And I'll tell you this! The places that are the most "glamorous" are usually the saddest places with the saddest people you will ever find...And you're right, why would people claim something that is a lie?
And, I love the picture...

I always said that the day I gratuated from highschool that I would only return to Riverside for birthdays and holidays..that was 22 years ago but Riverside has gotten way better since then. It used to hurt to breathe. I had a lady in my old Harvest woman's group who said (almost every week) that she lived in South Orange County. She dressed like a woman who only shopped at Mario's from Palm Spring, huge (probably cz) rock on her finger and a broom stick up her bootie. We went to her house for a brunch and she lived in Corona off of Lincoln...not Green River-ish so she could claim OC status but Lincoln which is OC adjacent but no way OC. I felt sorry for her because if she have to claim beter county status...imagine the issues she must have had.
